Past Simple

2013. november 15. - polly graph

Tekintsük át, hogyan, milyen nyelvi funciókban használtunk igéket!

    1. Az igéket a szótárban az alábbi alakban találjuk

 go

drink

buy

walk

eat

see

    1. Felszólító módban (kérések, utasítások közvetítésére)  úgy használtuk őket, hogy a mondat elejére kerültek, aztán következtek bővítményeik:

Go to the supermarket  and  buy 10 apples.

Húzd alá az igéket!

Go to the kitchen  and  make a cheese sandwich.

Call your mother after 2 p.m..

Open your book.

Shut up.

Come in.

Drink your tea.

Sit down.

Meet me at ten.

Close the window  and  put on your pullover.

Go to the bar and drink a beer.

3. A   can   segédigével együtt akkor használtuk, amikor engedélyt kértünk:

Can I  use  the bathroom?

Can I call you after 10 p.m.?

Can I help you?

Can I open the door?

Can I see your passport?

Can I buy you a drink?

Can you come to my birthday party?

Can you help me?

Can you give me a glass of water?

4. A  would  segédigével együtt akkor használtuk, amikor  két lehetőség közül kellett választanunk:

Would you rather go to the cinema or go to the bar?

Would you rather drink beer or wine?

Would you rather wear a long skirt or a short skirt?

I      go     to the shop   every  day.

A következő mondatokról döntsd el, hogy igazak (true) vagy hamisak  (false)

I drink coffee every morning.

I go to the supermarket every day.

I call my mother every day.

I cook lunch every day.

I go to work every day.

I have a shower every day.

Past Tense

I went to France last year.

I went to McDonald’s last Monday.

I read Dunántúli Napló in the morning.

I watched TV yesterday evening.

I had  breakfast in bed on Saturday.

I went to the cinema a week ago.

I met my friends two weeks ago.

I drank champagne on New Year’s Eve.

B. Ha tagadni szeretnénk, csupán annyi a dolgunk, hogy az alany után a did not

(rövidítve didn’t) elemet toldjuk a mondathoz. Ilyenkor az ige első alakját használjuk.

I did’t drink champagne on New Year’s Eve.

Most menjünk vissza és a hamis mondatoknál próbáljuk ki a tagadást!

C. Kérdezésnél is használjuk a did segédigét, ilyenkor a mondat elején.

Did you drink champagne on New Year’s Eve?

Eldöntendő kérdés, azaz egyszerű eldönteni, hogy yes vagy no a válasz, de a válaszban is használj segédigét:

Did you drink champagne on New Year’s Eve?

                                                    Yes, I did.                   No, I didn’t.

Ha van kérdőszó, az a kérdés elejére kerül:

What  did you drink on New Year’s Eve?

Az igeragozás így fest az angolban:

Állítunk                                              Tagadunk

I                   drank                               I                  didn’t     drink

You             drank                              You

She/he/it      drank                      She/he/it          didn’t     drink

We              drank                             We               didn’t       drink

You             drank                             You

They            drank                           They

Kérdezünk

Did         I                  drink

             you

Did     she/he/it         drink

Did        we                 drink

             you

             they

BUSINESS ENGLISH TEST:

https://www.businessenglishsite.com/business-english-grammar-tests.html

Barings Bank (1762 to 1995) was the oldest merchant bank in London, founded and owned by the German-origined Baring family.[1] The bank collapsed in 1995 after one of the bank's employees, Nick Leeson, lost £827 million ($1.3 billion) due to speculative investing, primarily in futures contracts, at the bank's Singapore office.

The earthquake caused approximately ten trillion yen or $102.5 billion in damage, 2.5% of Japan's GDP at the time. Most of the losses were uninsured, as only 3% of property in the Kobe area was covered by earthquake insurance, compared to 16% in Tokyo.

Kobe Earthquake

The quake ravaged many of the facilities of what was then the world's sixth-largest container port and the source of nearly 40% of Kobe's industrial output.[14]

The sheer size of the earthquake caused a major decline in Japanese stock markets, with the Nikkei 225 index plunging by 1,025 points on the day following the quake. This financial damage was the immediate cause for the collapse of Barings Bank due to the actions of Nick Leeson, who had speculated vast amounts of money on Japanese and Singaporean derivatives.

Present Simple

I   never    drive to work

I rarely read newspapers in the morning.

I sometimes eat an omelet for breakfast.

I usually take a shower in the morning.

I often go on business trips.

I always drink a cup of coffee in the morning.

Now make similar sentences. Start with …

I never

I rarely

I sometimes

I usually

I often

I always

Now, it’s time to practice a new question

How often do you    go to the cinema,  go shopping, cook lunch, eat out,  watch a video,  use your computer,  wash your hair,  vacuum the floor,  see your mother,

go on holiday,  have breakfast in bed, write an e-mail,  go swimming,   drink wine,

wash your hands,  water the plants,  go jogging,  chat with your best friend,  smoke,

go out,  go to Budapest, go to the post office ?

And of course it’s time to learn how to answer these questions:

Once

Twice                       a week (a month, a year, a day)

Three times

Every other week

Every other day

Once in a blue moon

Now we’ll talk about other people and use she/he/it and add an   ‘s’ to the verbs

like this:

She never drives to work.
